Kamp4Kids 2026 is July 13th-17th

Kamp is held from 9:00am to 4:00pm, each day (Monday-Friday). Our "base camp" for K4K is Playland Campground (24773 Playland Drive, Meadville, PA 16335). Wilderness groups and kampers travel across the road to Camp Chickasaw each day, and return back to Playland at approx. 4:00pm each day.

Busing is available daily from Cochranton Community Church!

• Buses leave the church at 8:30am and return around 4:30pm
• At drop off, you will be given a white, paper wristband to put on your kamper, indicating that they are to ride the bus back to the church after kamp.  This is our safety check system to make sure that all kids who are supposed to get bused back DO get on the bus
  • Please remind your child to leave their wristband on for the entire day.  They will get a new wristband each day
• You may not drop off children early at the church to wait for the bus inside, please ensure that you remain in your vehicle until our K4K volunteers arrive in the CCC parking lot

Kamp begins at 9:00am and ends at 4:00pm each day

• Please bring your child to Playland campground (address: 24773 Playland Dr. Meadville, PA 16335)
  • All kampers should be dropped off at Playland campground, Wilderness kampers will be transported via bus across the road with their groups each day
• Parking attendants will direct you to the approprite parking areas for kamper families, please abide by these areas and avoid parking in camper lots
• Upon arrival, please ensure that your child safely makes it to their group area (marked by their group number if at Playland, or group letter if at Wilderness)

• A cold lunch, including an ice pack, water is always provided for kampers
  • Please label your child's lunchbox clearly with their name. Names on the outside of a lunchbox are preferred!
• Please send your child in old clothing, that can get dirty, wet etc.
• Comfortable shoes for walking, flip flops are not permitted
• Labeled sunscreen. Please use a Sharpie on masking tape to label it, sharpie alone rubs off easily
  • Please apply sunscreen prior to dropping your child off at Kamp. We will reapply during the day
• Any medication needed by your child – clearly marked
  • The Kamp nurse will make sure your child takes their medication at the necessary times
• A labeled swimsuit, labeled towel & labeled water shoes. Water shoes are required for swimming in the creek at Wilderness
  • Please send your child in their swimsuit with clothes over it. If you would like to send clothes for your child to change into, after swimming please be sure that EVERYTHING is labeled. We will be swimming each day, weather permitting

If your child needs to leave early from Kamp4Kids, please give a written and signed note to the bus monitor or an adult at Playland. Your child's teen counselors are not permitted to accept these written notes, they must be given to an adult (often found near the porch of the building at Playland!) Whether your child is a Wilderness or Playland kamper, you will pick up your child at Playland.

In the event of bad weather that would prohibit us from safely being outside we will be asking that all children are picked up early from Kamp. All kampers will be taken to the main building at Playland for pickup. All weather related announcements will be made on Facebook. Please watch Facebook as we will not be able to answer all individual texts and calls while moving the children. 

Dismissal is at approx. 4:10pm each day. If your child is to ride the bus to the church at the end of the day, the person dropping the child off at either the church or Kamp will be responsible for making sure they wear a white wristband. Children not riding the bus to CCC will return to the designated area for their group. Whoever is picking up your child will then need to go to the correct number or letter to pick up your kampers. Children are not permitted to leave their groups without an adult present. We also ask that once you have taken your child from the group you keep them with you

• Please remember to observe the speed limits going up and down the driveway should you choose to come to Playland! ATVs are not allowed per campground rules. We want to keep everyone safe!!
• Please mark everything (and yes! we mean EVERYTHING) with your child's name
• Leave all toys, games, electronics etc. at home - your child will be having too much fun to need them, anyways!
• Please make sure that your kamper(s) get a good night's sleep each night!
